Chilling Experience

Last year, my aunt decided to take me with her on one of the ghost hunts at the prison. Like most I'm sure, I was skeptical at first. I didn't believe how it could be haunted. I had been on tours previously but yet those had been done during daylight. But, I decided to go and keep an open mind. As we were sitting in the visitation room eating pizza and watching a movie that some other hunters had captured from Moundsville Penitentiary I felt almost as if someone was caressing my hand. I didn't pay much mind. My aunt and I then joined a man and woman who go to these things regularly and walked about with them. We first sat down in the cafeteria and and turned off all the lights and the man and woman sat across the room from my aunt and I. As we were sitting there I felt as if someone was there and was just putting pressure in the middle of my back. They all took pictures around me and saw that orbs were there. I didn't feel scared though. It was almost reassuring me. We then moved to the basement where the old man Red, I forget his name, was murdered for being a rat. The first trip down there the man we were with received a scratch on his arm from no apparent object. Then we received a voice on the recorder he was carrying. We tried to make out the voice but had a hard time. But it was definitely not one of us. We made our way back out and I wanted something to drink so in order to get to our stuff we had to walk through to the cafeteria. As I walked through U got a horrible feeling that I wasn't welcome there and someone was trying to choke me. From that point on, anytime time I went through that room I got really cold and chills, and I just didn't want to go into that room. After leaving there at 6:00 a.m. I can honestly say the being there, and experiencing what I did, I do now believe in ghosts. I believe that I was welcome at first but then not later. It has definitely opened my eyes and mind, and I would like to go back someday.
